Not wanting to carry home a lot of big souvenirs - I decided on 'Prague Chocolate'. This really nice chocolate shop has chocolate bars from around the world. But the big draw is a selection of chocolate bars from the Czech Republic - with a few of these bars with a nice drawing of famous Prague sites on the front. The perfect Prague souvenir! Cost about $4 a bar - about half the price a bar of this size and quality would be in NYC.
If you know chocolate, upon entering the store you will know this is not an average chocolate shop. This little shop has a wonderful selection of imported - NOTE I said IMPORTED, chocolate bars. There was some Czech chocolate, but the Czech Republic is not known for a wealth of artisan chocolatiers and bean to bar production. There are no bonbons in the shop, just a wonderful selection of great chocolate bars, many which you may not be able to attain outside of Europe, such as Belgian Benoit Nihant, and Rococo from the UK. I was quite happy to have spotted this shop on my final day in Prague, and will make it a destination during my next visit.
On a visit to Prague, I went to this store to see what I could find. The shop is small, but has a nice selection of chocolate. They did have one RARE find that I was so excited about, Michel Cluizel Praline Spread! Found this the first time in Paris and fell in love with it. Can't buy it in the US, so I was so excited to find it in Prague and bought it up to bring home.
This is a great shop full of high quality chocolates. I love their hot chocolate! The staff was very professional and very nice.
I like chocolate, but would not consider myself a lover of chocolate nor a connoisseur!! But I do like good chocolate!! I went in to buy a sample out of curiosity, and left with a bag full as gifts to bring home!! The chocolate was some of the best I have ever had!!
It was the best hot chocolat that I've tasted. With 100% chocolat.
You can find nice and exclusive gifts, too.
Really recomended.
1st you think this is a small store but the chocolate yummmyyy woooowww
high standard chocolate and the taste like you never tasted good chocolate in your life.
they have chocolate bars with awards silver and gold and world premiere.
We mainly went here for my wife's benefit who ended up buying chocolate as gifts to take home. The store isn't really packed with chocolate but rather a nice selection of chocolates from both the Czech Republic and mostly other places around Europe.
I wouldn't go out of my way to visit but as it's close to all the central tourist attractions it's worth dropping in to take a look.
